MSCD Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences

Welcome to the Mathematical and Computer Sciences department at the Metropolitan State College of Denver.

Our department includes 25 full-time tenured professors, 4 visiting professors, 4 visiting instructors, and approximately 50 part-time instructors. We teach ~180 classes a semester; our instructors are in front of students between 12,000 and 15,000 hours a semester. We have approximately 175 math majors, 200 math minors, 500 computer science majors and 30 computer science minors.

Math Day
An event where talented high school students in the Denver metropolitan area have the opportunity to compete in various mathematical and engineering events.

Math Club
Our Mission: To facilitate learning and enjoyment in the field of mathematics, while creating a sense of community and involvement for Metro mathematics students. We seek to involve students and faculty in further mathematical learning and education, and provide students with opportunities for advanced learning outside of the classroom.
